Drupal AI integration · Ranieri Machado
LLM pipelines, vector search and MCP servers built into Drupal 10/11. 15 to 25 hours a week, invoiced by a US LLC.
Who this is for
Drupal agencies whose clients are asking for AI features and who have no one senior free to build them. Product teams with a Drupal estate that needs classification, real search, or an interface for AI agents. In both cases you get a senior architect who has shipped this in production, not a developer learning it on your project.
What I build
- LLM classification and generation inside Drupal. drupal/ai with Anthropic, Google Gemini and local Ollama models, routed per operation, with per-call cost logging so you know what each feature costs to run.
- Retrieval and hybrid search. MariaDB 11.8 native vectors, Solr 9, PostgreSQL pgvector; semantic search scored against your keyword baseline before it ships.
- MCP servers. Expose a Drupal or Python system to Claude and other agents through a read-only Model Context Protocol endpoint, with the guardrails that make it safe to leave running.
- Reliability review of an existing AI integration. Where it fabricates, where it over-spends, where it fails silently, and the fixes.
Proof
- News Engine: open-source news-bias analysis engine on Drupal 11. One tagged package runs two production sites in two countries (Iriscópio, Brazil; SameStory, US). Five-stage pipeline, calibration harness that measures classifier skew, kernel and unit tests in CI on every pull request. github.com/ranierimachado/news-aggregator
- SignalFiling: unattended SEC filing analysis, around the clock, for a 61-company watchlist. 23 forensic signal categories; evidence quotes verified against the filing before storage so a fabricated all-clear cannot pass. LLM spend for the whole watchlist: about $0.62 a day.
- SignalCVM: the same architecture on Brazilian CVM filings. Retrospective backtests flagged Braskem 8.5 months and Azul 10.6 months before their crises became public, from regulatory filings alone.
- Client work: replaced a 20-year-old Delphi/Paradox property-management system with a React, FastAPI and PostgreSQL application under a phased fixed-scope contract, delivered on schedule. Before that, twelve years inside US federal-contractor delivery teams (Accenture Federal Services, RIVA Solutions, JBS International): federal-scale Drupal migrations, multi-site platforms, Apache Solr search.
How an engagement works
- Retainer of 15 to 25 hours a week, or a fixed-scope first piece of two to four weeks so you can judge the work before committing.
- Billed by SignalFiling LLC (Colorado) on a W-9; you get a 1099, not a foreign-vendor process.
- Afternoon overlap with every US time zone; async by default, calls when they earn it.
- Tests, CI and tagged releases are the standard, not an add-on.
Rate
From US$75 an hour. A fixed-scope first piece is quoted as a single price.
How to start
A 30-minute call, then a written scope with a fixed price for the first piece. Email contact@signalfiling.com · WhatsApp +55 12 99244-4747 · US +1 540 931-2353 · linkedin.com/in/ranierimachado
